Sarah Maginniss, Architect & Design Principal

My love for home design began at age 13 when my parents planned and built our family home on Mowbray Mountian near Chattanooga, Tennessee. I so enjoyed watching them in the process of creating the floorplan and selecting every window, light fixture, floor finish, texture, and detail right down to the doorbell. Our home felt so full of love when we moved in because of all the care we had taken and the decisions we had made together as a family to shape our space.

Because I wanted to learn more about design after this experince, I went on to get a degree in Architecture from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville (Go Vols!) after which,

I relocated to Los Angeles where I am grateful to have gained incredible experience working on designer projects and learning from brilliant creative masters and craftspeople in the construction field.

After 11 years living and working in Southern California, I returned to Chattanooga in 2021 and prompltly met my amazing husband, Andrew Maginniss. With his support and encouragement, we opened the doors to Three Rabbit Design Studios in 2024. When I'm not designing, you can find me bird-watching and walking around town in search of coffee and antiques!
